I am a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist offering a range of specialised treatments alongside Sports Massage including Cupping Therapy,
Instrument-Assisted Therapy (IASTM), and Rock Taping.
Focusing on injury prevention, recovery and support, my sports massage treatments incorporate active stretching and movement to help individuals achieve optimal performance and recovery.
I live at home with my husband Nath - a consultant for Pirelli UK, our dog Poppy and bearded dragon Barry. We have two children Charlie and Harrison who both work in Motorsport. Charlie works for Pirelli F1 and Harrison is a part time tyre technician for Pirelli UK whilst also at Uni studying Film and TV.
Before training as a Sports Massage Therapist I worked in Motorsport for 16 years, running a business that hand cut the tread pattern into racing tyres.
My change in career has come at a time where I am no longer needed in the same way as I was when the children were younger, and I finally feel I have the time and ability to take on a new challenge.
My sister Karen is an experienced Pilates Instructor and has supported and encouraged me with all aspects of the course, her wealth of knowledge and experience continues to inspire me.
The Sports Therapy Hut is based in my garden, close to Midsomer Norton. The cabin is air conditioned, spacious and comfortable. There is parking available along with bathroom facilities.
The cabin is custom built and kitted out with the latest equipment to keep you comfortable throughout your treatment.

Sports massage focuses on improving circulation, reducing muscle tension and increasing tissue elasticity. It can also be used to help relieve tight muscles and to increase your body’s range of movement.
Sports massage is more targeted than other holistic massages. It focuses on areas of the body that are most used and stressed during physical activities, making it a valuable tool for both those who want to push their bodies for optimal performance, and those who suffer with injuries or day to day aches and pains.
Muscle tightness can limit flexibility, increase pain and cause future injuries. Regular sports massage will help to alleviate these and brings a balance to your body by releasing tight muscles, encouraging movement and flexibility of the joints, and helping to prevent injury and aiding rehabilitation.
On your first visit you will be taken through an assessment of posture, your range of movement and your reason for visit. This may include a discussion about your occupation, lifestyle and activities to gain an insight into your reason for visit and also gives you time to discuss any concerns you have.
Sports massage uses various techniques to apply pressure, work on adhesions, mobilise soft tissue and improve blood circulation.
As the treatment takes place you will be talked through what is going to happen and why. Some of the techniques can be uncomfortable and may occasionally cause bruising or reddening of the skin which is a completely normal reaction to the deeper work.
The treatment will start with ‘warming up’ the area of concern by using Effleurage and Petrissage. These two techniques are relaxing and involve gliding over the muscles, lifting, rolling and kneading the soft tissue to begin to reduce muscle tension. From there other techniques will be introduced. These will be spoken about in more detail on the following page. At the end of your treatment, you will repeat some range of movements to see any improvement, and be given some stretches to continue at home.
Alongside Sports Massage, I also include these treatments into my appointments:
Dry Cupping, RockPods & RockVibes:
A suction technique using cups to decompress underlying tissue. Used to loosen and lift connective tissue, increasing blood and lymph flow to the skin and muscles. This combination stimulates the bodies healing process to treat pain, relieve tension while promoting cell repair.
RockBlade and Mohawk IASTM:
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation are effective tools used alongside a sports massage to further break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue, and increase healing within the area.
RockTape Kinesiology Taping:
RockTape lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia creating a decompression effect. This will increase blood and lymphatic flow to area, increasing the slide and glide between tissue layers, improving body awareness by aiding functional support while allowing full range of movement. It can be used to treat and assist with a variety of sports and non-sporting injuries.
I don't have an online booking service as I think it's important to have a chat via phone or WhatsApp to discuss your needs before booking an appointment, so we can work together to see what treatment plan will suit you.
